Tax Exempt Donations

The Mattawan Area Pantry has now been reinstated by the IRS as a current and active 501c3 with a non-profit status. All donations made from May 15th, 2014 through now are retroactively covered and tax deductible. Thank you for your patience with this matter.

You may continue to send donations for Mattawan Food Packs to P. O. Box 155, Mattawan, Michigan 49071.

Mattawan Food Packs partners with the Mattawan Area Pantry which allows us the benefits of a non-profit organization.  By going under the Mattawan Area Pantry all donations made to the Mattawan Food Packs have been tax deductible.  However, currently, Mattawan Area Pantry is in a holding status with the IRS due to a delay in processing additional forms which were recently submitted.  They are currently waiting to be reinstated as a non-profit organization but it may take a few months..
Until this is resolved, all checks for donations should be made out to the Mattawan Community Church with a note earmarking it for Mattawan Food Packs on the memo line.  This will ensure that donations will continue to be tax deductible and Mattawan Food Packs will continue to receive the donations.  Donations should still be mailed to P. O. Box 155, Mattawan, MI  49071.
