We are very excited to announce that Brian Rhodes and Matt Hillsburg are raising money for Mattawan Food Packs in their own unique way! For 40 days starting in May they will be riding across the country on their bikes from Mattawan to Oregon’s coast.
You can read about them and their decision to partner with us on their Facebook page – Rhodesburg for Mattawan Food Packs. While you there be sure to make a tax-deductible donation and “like” the page so that you can stay updated during their 2500 mile ride.
Yesterday, I incorrectly reported that we had received a donation from the The Sharon Seelye Foundation. The gift actually was from the Mike and Sharon Seelye Family Foundation. We again thank them for their continued support.
Lake Michigan Mailers has included us in their 2014 Charity Partners for the third year in a row! We greatly appreciate their generosity towards Mattawan Food Packs. For information about them and the other partners visit them at Lake Michigan Mailers.
We would like to thank all the students, teachers, families and friends who collected and donated personal care items! Our donation drive is finished. The children will be receiving them very soon. Please remember us and keep saving any items until our next collection drive in the fall.
We also want to send a special thank you shout out to the fourth graders who decided to make the 100th day of school extra special by donating at least 100 items to Mattawan Food Packs. They exceeded their goal with so many jars of peanut butter and jelly, cans of tuna, and personal care items. We are so grateful!
